I sort of got a version of content_for working in Jekyll/Liquid. Currently it's just a hardcoded sidebar block but it gets the functionality I was looking for.

#

I was having trouble getting it to work more dynamically - e.g. creating arbitrary named blocks of content instead of one specific one.

#

Here's the code that makes it work:

TODO: Look into a superset of Markdown so pasting raw links just works without having to use brackets and parens.

#

Kramdown doesn't do it so... I'll just use the less than / greater than format for bare URLs for now
